Dr. Roberta Grynoch grew up in southern Alberta and has a medical family. Her father was a surgeon and her two brothers may be familiar to some patients - Nephrologist Dr. Richard Grynoch, and Internal Medicine specialist Dr. Bob Grynoch. Dr. Grynoch took her pre-med in Honors Zoology at the University of Calgary. She graduated from Medicine and completed the Family Medicine program at the University of Alberta. She is a certificant of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Dr. Grynoch worked as an active member of the Royal Alexandra Hospital General Practice Department and did deliveries, newborn- and inpatient care until 2004. Currently she is active in chronic illness, palliative- and geriatric care in long-term care and home settings, when she is not in the office.
Dr. Grynoch and her husband Ray Tomcej have three grown children and a busy schedule after work with racquet sports and family committments. Her interests include jazz music (two of her children play), ballroom dance, and cross-country and water skiing.
